As Florida born creative, I have always been fascinated and curious about art, architecture, and space planning. Much of my adolescence was spent in art classes. When it came time to find my career path, Florida State University’s Interior Design Program intrigued me and embodied the aspects of design and architecture that I was passionate about. After graduating at FSU, I started as an assistant for an interior designer in Florida where I learned many facets of the industry, but most importantly the joy and fulfilment that could come from working in a creative field. But I had much larger dreams to chase after. As a child, New York City was always in my heart. The decision to take this leap in my life and career was an opportunity I could not pass up.
Over a decade later, I am using the skills I have honed and strengthened while designing alongside many of the top designers in Manhattan. Planning and creating exquisite projects not only in New York City, but also in San Francisco, Kentucky, Connecticut, Florida, and the Bahamas. This exposure and hands on experience with such talent has pushed me to continue to learn more and refine my own aesthetic.
During Covid I was offered the opportunity to work in the film industry. Since my start on the Food that Built America Season 3 as an on set decorator, I’ve had the privilege of being the Lead Set Designer on a period feature film, and a set dresser on reality TV shows. It has been an amazing experience dipping my toes into this industry.
Design is an art that must reflect the client’s personality, and my biggest joy is creating spaces that embody this reflection of personality. I want my client’s to feel that the spaces we create together are stunning while maintaining a comfortable and functional feel. The use of color, texture, pattern, and layering are all key elements in achieving this harmonious balance. A space should be inviting and draw you in, allowing you to discover more every time you step into the room.
